Scryway

Mars in the 1st house

The 1st house: Self, body, appearance and how you meet the world; the start of things.

Mars in the first house puts your drive right up front. You may come across as direct, energetic and ready for action, someone who walks into a room with purpose and says what they think. Physical activity often matters to you, and you may feel most like yourself when you are moving, competing or starting something new. Others may see you as brave, even when you do not feel it.

You tend to fight for your independence and your right to be yourself. Challenges can bring out your best, and you often prefer to tackle a problem head-on rather than wait for it to resolve. Leadership may come naturally when quick decisions are needed, and you may enjoy being first to try what others hesitate over.

The difficulty is that impatience and a short fuse can show before you have had time to think. You may rush in, take disagreements personally or come across as more combative than you intend. Conflict can arise simply because your energy fills the space. Constructive outlets help a great deal: regular exercise, sport, physical work or any project you can throw yourself into. Learning to count to ten, and to ask whether a battle is worth fighting, lets your courage serve you rather than run you.
