North Node in the 8th house

The 8th house: Shared resources, intimacy, debts and inheritances; crisis and change.

The North Node in the eighth house points towards growth through intimacy, trust and shared resources. You may be learning to let others in, to merge your life with someone else’s in meaningful ways, and to accept change rather than resist it. Facing deeper feelings can be daunting. Yet allowing yourself to be affected by others, and sharing what you have, often brings a richer and more honest life.

The South Node in the second house suggests comfort with self-sufficiency, steady habits and holding on to what is yours. You may be skilled at building security and valuing simple things, and that groundedness remains useful. The difficulty is clinging to comfort or ownership out of fear of change. Growth comes from using your steadiness as a safe base from which to risk closeness, and from trusting that letting go can also make space for renewal.

The basics

North Node (direction, growth, appetite): Not a body but the point where the Moon's path crosses the ecliptic northward. Modern astrology often reads it as a direction of growth; traditional astrology treats it more simply as a point of increase.
