Scryway

Mercury in Cancer

intuitive thinking · memory · sensitivity · tact · defensiveness

Your thinking is often coloured by feeling, and that is not a flaw. You tend to read the emotional temperature of a conversation before its content, picking up on what people mean beneath what they say. Memory can be strong, especially for personal details, old conversations and the atmosphere of a place. You may learn best when you feel safe and when the material connects to something you care about or someone you know.

In conversation you are usually tactful and protective, choosing words to avoid hurting people and often remembering exactly what someone told you months ago. You may be a wonderful listener in a crisis. Decisions tend to be made by asking how something will feel and who it will affect, which can make you wise about people and hesitant about cold logic. You may prefer to talk important things through in private rather than in a group.

The blind spot is taking ideas personally. A neutral criticism of your plan can land as a criticism of you, and you may retreat, go quiet or bring up old hurts rather than address the point in front of you. Moods can also tint what you believe is true on a given day. It helps to separate the feeling from the facts, name both, and return to a conversation once you have settled. At best, your mind combines intelligence with real care, and people feel understood when you speak.
