Scryway

Card 6 of 36 · playing card K♣ · a difficult card

Clouds

confusion · doubt · a passing trouble

Meaning

Uncertainty and unclear conditions. The Clouds hide part of the picture: doubt, mixed signals, worry or a mood that clouds judgement. Like weather, they pass. Traditionally the side of the card toward the lighter sky is read as clearing, the darker side as trouble lingering.

As a person

Someone moody, changeable or hard to read.

In combinations

First in a pair, the Clouds names confusion or a time of doubt. Second, it describes the card before it: something that is unclear, uncertain or temporarily troubled.

  • Clouds + Sun: Clearing skies: confusion passing, a difficult period giving way.
  • Clouds + Book: Something hidden and unclear; information missing.

As a house in the Grand Tableau

Position 6 is the house of the Clouds. Doubt: what is hidden, confused or not yet clear.
