North Node in Aries

independence · acting first · own wishes · south node libra

With the North Node in Aries, growth points towards independence. The direction that feels unfamiliar but rewarding is acting on your own wishes, making decisions without waiting for agreement and trusting your instincts enough to go first. It may feel selfish at first. In practice it often means learning to say what you want and accepting that not everyone will like it.

The South Node in Libra describes well-practised habits: diplomacy, sensitivity to others’ needs and a talent for partnership. These are real strengths to build on. The risk is hiding in them, keeping the peace at your own cost or letting a partner’s view replace your own. Some astrologers frame the South Node as a past-life inheritance; you can equally read it as what came easily early on. The nodes move backwards through the zodiac, spending about eighteen months in each sign, so many your age share this axis. Your houses show where the pull is felt most.

The basics

North Node (direction, growth, appetite): Not a body but the point where the Moon's path crosses the ecliptic northward. Modern astrology often reads it as a direction of growth; traditional astrology treats it more simply as a point of increase.

Aries (Fire, cardinal; ruled by Mars): initiative, directness, courage.
