Card 23 of 36 · playing card 7♣ · a difficult card

Mice

loss · stress · erosion · worry

Meaning

Something is being eaten away. The Mice are small losses that add up: theft, wear, stress, a worry that gnaws. They reduce whatever they touch. The remedy is usually attention to the small things before they grow.

As a person

Someone anxious, or a person who takes more than they give.

In combinations

First in a pair, the Mice names loss, stress or slow erosion. Second, it describes the card before it: something that is reduced, worn down or worried over.

  • House + Mice: Wear in the home: repairs, or a household under stress.
  • Mice + Fish: Money slipping away; expenses or a financial loss.

As a house in the Grand Tableau

Position 23 is the house of the Mice. Loss: stress, theft and wear.
